Sandbox
Sandbox is the same as open-world. It means that you can do pretty much whatever you want. You want to try to rob a store? Go ahead try to rob the store. You want to open up a sub shop? Open one up! Open-world/Sandbox is a term mostly used in gaming to describe a world where you have close to free reign on what happens. (Think Minecraft)
How do you use it here?
Here at [Deadly] we strive to make this rp more open minded than any you have seen before! What you do, what you personally RP about will have an affect on the entire site! Say you choose to try to rob that store, fliers might be posted up everywhere and the local cops might continually try to arrest you. Say you are a scientist and you find a way to make a deadly virus and you choose to unleash it on the island. The staff will make it a site wide event. The possibilities are endless.
Things to know
As a Sandbox/Open-world site things can get tricky. What's to say a member doesn't blow up the entire island?
Simple. We will have things called GM's (Game Mod). These people will be in charge of saying if you manage to accomplish something or not.
An Example of a failed attempt:
You: Mixes together some chemicals to attempt to make an a-bomb.
GM: Despite your hard work and months of research the chemical combination was wrong.
An Example of a successful attempt:
You: Returns to alter one last time in dire hope to connect to the Gods.
GM: A loud voice greets you angrily and slowly the ground starts to tremble "you have disturbed our slumber, now feel our wrath" And the Gods send forth ghosts to the island.
After a successful attempt, if it is significant enough an announcement will be placed showing everyone what has happened.
